Indigenous Marketplace

In collaboration with Indigenous Tourism Alberta, Fairmont Banff Springs will be hosting a vibrant market day on June 1st. The day will feature live music, unique crafting sessions for guests, and opportunities to celebrate and support local Indigenous artisans.

Featured: The melodic storytelling of Ashley Ghostkeeper, Native Diva Creations, Mother Earth Essentials, Mackenzie Brown and more.

All welcome – this event is open to the public.

11AM-6PM Indigenous Marketplace Opening Hours

Explore authentic creations by local Indigenous artisans, with unique mediums ranging from traditional crafts to fashion design and contemporary arts.

11AM-6PM Mini Hrpa Interpretive Cultural Display

Mini Hrpa Indigenous cultural center hosts an interpretive historic display with discussions led by Îyarhe Stoney Nakoda.

3:30-6PM Dream Catcher Workshop | Iska Dreams

Each session begins with a traditional teaching about the legend of the dreamcatcher, its cultural significance, and the meanings behind the different colours offered in the kits. Participants will receive a dreamcatcher kit that includes everything needed to complete their own creation, along with an instructional booklet and hands-on guidance. Recommended for ages 12+
