Vibrant new art installation, Banffchella, welcomes guests to a playful poolside vibe
Banff, AB, July 6, 2022 – Canada’s Castle in the Rockies has kicked off summer with Banffchella, a playful poolside art installation for guests to enjoy an immersive experience with Instagrammable 3D structures, lawn games, and more.
Created in collaboration with Vancouver-based creatives Rachel Rivera and Claire Ouchi of the WKNDRS, the concept for this new poolside activation features bold geometric designs, colourful outdoor walkways, summer-themed 3D sculptures, and vibrantly painted indoor pool archways.
Looking to add to your Banffchella vibe with a glass of distinctive bubbles? Fairmont Banff Springs has you covered with a specially curated cocktail menu for guests created in partnership with Veuve Clicquot.
“Banffchella adds a sense of playfulness to the Fairmont Banff Springs experience and enhances the resort’s reputation as one of the top summer resorts in the country”, says Hotel Manager, David Garcelon.
Banffchella will continue throughout the summer months (the pool area is open daily from 6:00 am – 10:00 pm), with a resident DJ spinning relaxed tropical tunes on select afternoons until the end of the season.

Claire Ouchi and Rachel Rivera met at Alberta College of Art & Design, majoring in Visual Communication.
