Winter Wander up Tunnel Mountain

Walk with our experienced guides in micro-spikes to the summit of this iconic local peak. This local hike is a short drive from the hotel and is a rewarding but realistic summit experience for almost anyone.  Learn about the area and railway era stories while you take in the stunning views. Explore how mother nature changes in the winter with your experienced Fairmont guide at all the instagrammable spots along the way. Sip on some gourmet hot chocolate or delicious tea while looking out over the surrounding Canadian Rockies Mountains and the Bow River Valley.  Hike difficulty – moderate.

Private Experience – designed for 2 people

Includes: Transport, micro-spikes, the option of hiking poles, hand and toe warmers, one non-alcoholic drink, water & Fairmont Guide.

Dates & Time: November to May, departure time: 1:00pm, return time 4:00pm. October to November, departure time: 10:00am, return time: 1:00pm.

Customizations:  We can turn this experience into a guided-relaxed pace with interpretive storytelling or a fitness focused up-tempo option with your guide. Tour can also be offered in the morning. Please contact the resort for more customization details.

Details: 3 Hour Experience. 5km round trip, 260m elevation gain. Tour must be booked at least 72 hours in advance. Max 4 guests per booking. For additional guests, please contact hotel directly.

Cost: October to November – $320 + tax (price includes 2 people, additional fee of $50 applies for more guests). November to May – $340 + tax (price includes 2 people, additional fee of $50 applies for more guests).
