Forest Bathing

Fairmont Banff Springs, located in UNESCO World Heritage listed Banff National Park, sits in the perfect environment to partake in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku.

Shinrin-Yoku means to bathe in the forest atmosphere, and is a mindfulness practice proven to help manage stress and anxiety. Your local guide, certified through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, will walk you into the surrounding forest to take you through a series of connective and grounding activities. The session finishes with personal reflections and a nourishing tea ceremony using locally foraged ingredients.

The session provides an opportunity to stop and connect with nature in a way you may not have previously experienced, and provide tools to incorporate this practice into your own wellness routine.
