Everything G-OLD is New Again at Fairmont Banff Springs
BANFF, 22 February 2023 – On the tail end of a 2-year, $35 million CAD renovation of its suites and guest rooms, Fairmont Banff Springs has officially unveiled a stylish new collection of Fairmont Gold and Signature Suites. This extensive makeover – including the coveted Crown Suite (formerly the Royal Suite), select one and two bedroom suites, plus Terrace Suites – offers guests an unparalleled level of luxury and access to exclusive services in Banff’s iconic castle.
The Fairmont Gold renovation includes 110 guestrooms and a new private arrival area that is perfectly situated to showcase the resort’s million dollar view of its UNESCO World Heritage Site surroundings.

Guests on Fairmont Gold will have access to a private concierge team, spacious lounge with daily harvest-style breakfast, evening canapés, full service bar, snacks and beverages throughout the day.
Located at the peak of the castle’s turret and boasting panoramic views, the 1,500 square foot Crown Suite has been transformed with the addition of a second bedroom and an upgraded master bedroom. As Banff’s most exclusive suite – and one that has been host to royalty and celebrities like Marilyn Monroe – it now boasts a spacious entertaining area, dry bar, and two impressive modern bathrooms. An intimate living room and fireplace complete the redesign of this distinctive suite, setting a grand stage for guests looking to celebrate those extra special occasions. The new Crown Suite is open to guest bookings as of May 1, 2023.
All renovated Signature Suites offer upgraded amenities, including a personalized concierge service, valet parking, Fairmont Spa access, daily breakfast, personalized wake-up calls, and an in-room dry bar.
