Golf Opening Dates Announced

May 3, 2021

Banff, AB – The professionals at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’ celebrated western Canadian golf clubs at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge (JPL)Fairmont Banff Springs, and Fairmont Chateau Whistler have been hard at work readying the courses for the 2021 season. JPL was first to tee it up with a May 1 opening while Whistler is planning for a May 13 opening and Banff’s Tunnel Mountain and Stanley Thompson courses are opening May 7 and May 14, respectively. In addition to the golf course, the practice facility, take-away food and drink, and retail shops are also available.

At the three Fairmont mountain golf resorts, protocols have been developed following the guidance of the local health authorities. A summary of golfer guidelines at Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club can be found here while details for Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course can be found here and Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club here.

“Last year we saw an increased interest in golf as guests looked for safe outdoor activities,” stated Steve Young, Director of Golf at Fairmont Banff Springs. “We’re looking forward to welcoming our seasoned players back as well as those who found the game again or for the first time.”

At Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club, early season green fees start at CAD $159 with opening twilight rates starting from CAD $139. Meanwhile at Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course, daily green fees start from CAD $149 at Stanley Thompson 18 Hole and CAD $79 at Tunnel Mountain 9 Hole.
