Massage Therapist At Fairmont Banff Springs Named “Best Spa Therapist in North America”

February 3, 2021

BANFF, AB, February 3, 2021 –– Today, Fairmont Banff Springs announced Paul Dixon, Massage Therapist at the Fairmont Spa, was named “Best Spa Therapist in North America” in the inaugural Hall of Wellness (HOW) Awards.

Dixon, nominated for the award by a colleague in July 2020, underwent an in-depth, four-stage judging process conducted by an expert panel of global leaders in the wellness industry. The four rounds included an initial verification of eligibility and suitability to enter, followed by short answer questions and a one-on-one interview with the judges. The final round involved a two-minute video demonstration whereby Dixon showcased various techniques to target an aggravated injury.

“This award does not only reflect Paul’s passion for the industry, but is also a testament to the world-class service and care he provides to each and every guest,” said Pam Ouellet, Spa Director at Fairmont Banff Springs’ Spa. “We couldn’t be more proud to have one of our very own recognized as the best in North America.”

The HOW Awards are designed to celebrate exceptional individuals in the spa, beauty and wellness industry across the globe. Awards were given out across seven categories including the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the UK, Oceania, the Americas, Africa and a global group. The HOW Awards are powered by Spa Connectors, a global company offering business, training and recruitment solutions to the spa industry. To view the full list of the HOW Award winners, click here.
