Fairmont Banff Springs Spa Expansion

BANFF, AB – Today Fairmont Banff Springs has announced plans for the upcoming expansion of the award-winning Fairmont Spa. The highly anticipated $3.5 million redevelopment project will begin on September 11, 2019 and will be officially unveiled in February 2020.

The three-month revamp will introduce a re-imagined Spa Reception and Boutique. The expansion will add 50 percent more retail space and an expanded full-service Beauty Salon. The Beauty Salon will feature five pedicure stations, three manicure stations, four hair styling stations, two hair washing stations and two make up stations. Furthermore, three new treatment rooms, a Deluxe Couple’s Suite treatment room and a new 12-seat quiet lounge will be added in the expansion.

The expansion is led by Calgary-based IBI Group and will increase the Fairmont Spa from its current 38,000 square feet to 40,260 square feet of spa and fitness facilities. Featuring a contemporary style, the expansion continues to mindfully incorporate the natural elements of the Fairmont Spa, paying homage to its unique locale in Banff National Park, Canada’s first national park.

In addition, during the expansion, the Fairmont Spa will remain open. This allows the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs continues to strengthen its foothold as a leading spa in North America.
