Fairmont Golf Courses Open

May 26, 2020

BANFF, AB – Today Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’ celebrated western Canadian golf clubs at Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Chateau Whistler, and Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge have announced an official reopening date and will welcome golfers on Friday, May 29. In addition to the golf course, this includes limited access to the practice facility, take-away food and drink, and retail shops.

At the three Fairmont mountain golf resorts, protocols have been developed following the guidance of the WHO, CDC, and PHAC, and local health and government authorities. A summary of golfer guidelines at Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club can be found here while details for Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course can be found here and Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club here.

“We’ve been hard at work readying our golf courses for reopening and with an additional month of preparation, they’ve never looked better,” stated Steve Young, Director of Golf at Fairmont Banff Springs. “We have a robust plan in place to welcome guests back. We appreciate not every regulation will be popular but rest assured, the guidelines are a result of an extensive review and planning process that has taken into consideration the health and safety of members, guests and staff.”

At Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course, daily green fees start from CAD $259 at Stanley Thompson 18 Hole and (opening mid-June) CAD $109 at Tunnel Mountain 9 Hole. The Stay & Play Package, with 20 percent off accommodation (two night minimum) and additional discounts including 20 percent off hotel dining, green fees, recently-renovated Willow Stream Spa treatments, and hotel-booked, offers rates of starting from CAD $369++.

Daily green fees at Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club start from CAD $189 for the 2020 season. The Whistler Stay & Play offer, starting rate CAD $236 per person, per night, based on double occupancy, includes one night accommodation at Fairmont Chateau Whistler; one round of 18-holes at Chateau Whistler Golf Club per person, per night; unlimited golf on same day of play after initial paid round of golf; complimentary club rentals; unlimited access to the practice facility; complimentary golf club storage; complimentary shuttle to/from Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Clubhouse; and Juniors Golf for Free (applies to one child 16 yrs old).

Meanwhile at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club, daily green fees are CAD $209 for midweek play and CAD $225 for weekends and holidays.
