Banff, AB, November 17, 2022 – From November 25th, 2022 through to January 2nd, 2023, guests are invited to experience the magic of the holidays with Christmas at the Castle at Fairmont Banff Springs. Experience the grandest of seasons in a festive wonderland brimming with luxurious décor, holiday programming, indulgent dining experiences and an exciting lineup of new and returning Fairmont favorites that are certain to keep guests merry and bright.

Featured Guest Programming

A new collection of special events centering on music, dance and comedy will be hosted in the iconic Cascade Ballroom this December, including ‘Jazz Swing Night’, ‘Cirque du Fairmont’, ‘Boot Scootin’ Night’ and ‘A Night of Laughs’. These experiences are available to hotel guests only and admission is complimentary. VIP tickets are available for $100 CAD, and include front row seats for four and a bottle of wine, or beers for the table.

Instagrammable Moments

Designed by the famed Cory Christopher, Fairmont Banff Springs’ Ramsay Bar will turn into the vibrant ‘Thirsty Reindeer’ holiday bar. Extravagant indoor and outdoor festive archways will be installed to help frame a memorable photo op, and guests can round out their experience with a stay in one of the resort’s exclusive Santa Suites, each adorned with custom Christmas décor for the holidays.

Holiday Classics

The North Pole & Thirsty Reindeer

The Gatehouse Foyer will be transformed into the North Pole this holiday season. From November 24th to December 26th, young guests will enjoy arts, crafts and photos with their favorite Christmas characters. Those who are ‘young at heart’ can indulge in a festive cocktail hand-crafted by in-house mixologists at the Thirsty Reindeer holiday bar, overlooking the Gatehouse Foyer.

Hot Chocolate Trail at STOCK

Fairmont Banff Springs will boast a decadent Triple Hot Chocolate created by executive chef, Atticus Garant for Banff’s official ‘Hot Chocolate Trail’. Made with Valhrona Dark Cocoa Powder, Manjari 64%, Caraibe and Soy milk, this decadent hot chocolate is entirely vegan and available at STOCK Food and Drink for $7 CAD.

‘A Christmas Carol’ by Carter Ryan Productions

This annual holiday tradition, adapted by Carter Ryan Productions, is showing at Fairmont Banff Springs from December 1st to 26th. Additionally, from the 27th of December until the 8th of January,
stage performances of ‘Canada the Musical’ will be returning. Tickets are $38 CAD for adults and $26 CAD for children aged three to twelve. Hotel guests will receive 20% off ticket prices. For show times and to book, click here.

The Grandest of Festive Flavors

From the Festive Brunch Buffet served in The Vermillion Room and Festive Afternoon Tea in the Riverview Lounge, to intimate private dining and extravagant New Year’s Eve feasts, there are a number of exceptional Christmas at the Castle dining experiences not to be missed.

Santa’s Dining Room

An exclusive and indulgent five-course dining experience is available in Santa’s Dining Room from December 3rd to December 31st. Served family style, prices for this private event start from CAD $2,600, accommodating groups of 6-12.

360° Dome

Boasting 360° views of the 134-year-old castle and the Canadian Rockies, the 360° Dome outdoor dining venue will be adorned with festive décor and serve a mouthwatering dinner menu from December 17th to December 30th. For availability and booking details, click here.

New Year’s Celebrations

New Year’s dinners will be held at 1888 Chophouse and Castello Italiana – and a grand New Year’s Eve Gala will be celebrated in the Van Horne Ballroom. A five course dining experience created by Chef Atticus Garant will be perfectly accompanied by Barry Shaw and the Fairmont Banff Springs Orchestra. After dinner, dance the night away until it’s time to ring in 2023 in classic Fairmont style. Adult tickets are $200 CAD for dinner and the dance, or $85 CAD for the dance only. Family Favorites

Family-friendly festive programming comes alive with Santa himself hosting events such as private bedtime stories, family photo sessions, and the delectable combination of a campfire and
S’mores. The North Pole will be hosting exciting festive workshops throughout the holiday season including gingerbread house making, ornament painting, letters to Santa and other holiday crafts. Surprise in-room Santa visits are also available for private booking. Family programming is available to hotel guests only. $35M Suite and Guestroom Renovation

Fairmont Banff Springs has announced it is embarking on a $35 million CAD renovation of its suites and guestrooms. The extensive renovation of the Royal Suite, Fairmont Gold rooms, select one and two bedroom suites, and terrace suites will begin in January 2022 and are anticipated to be completed in summer 2022. Rundle Bar Wins Design Award

The recently renovated Rundle Bar at Fairmont Banff Springs has been presented with the 2021 Canadian Interiors “Best of Canada” award in hospitality for its interior design. The main hotel bar’s CAD $5 million refurbishment was unveiled in July 2020 after a six-month renovation and was designed by Calgary-based FRANK Architecture.
