Fairmont Banff Springs Unveils Lineup of Festive Programming and Events

BANFF, AB – Today, Fairmont Banff Springs announced new and returning festive programming to celebrate Christmas at the Castle from November 27, 2021 to January 2, 2022. With extravagant décor, exceptional dining experiences, and holiday programming, the spirit of Christmas is alive at the “Castle in the Rockies”.

Christmas Concert Series

Fairmont Banff Springs will be hosting its first-ever Christmas Concert Series this year on select dates. The live performance will showcase Canadian musicians such as Jess Moskaluke, Nice Horse and Dan Davidson, that will jingle all the way through the holidays with Christmas classics and beloved melodies.

The experience is available to hotel guests only and admission is complimentary. VIP tickets are available for $100 CAD and includes a table for four guests and a bottle of wine or bucket of beer. To view the full lineup and show times, click here.

The Thirsty Reindeer

Ramsay Bar will be transforming into the Thirsty Reindeer holiday bar this Christmas. Designed by Cory Christopher, the kitschy Christmas-themed bar will boast extravagant holiday décor and serve festive-inspired cocktails from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on December 10 and 11, and daily from December 17, 2021 to January 2, 2022.

Festive Dining Experiences

From abundant buffets in The Vermillion Room and Festive Afternoon Tea in the Rundle Bar to intimate private dining and extravagant New Year’s Eve feasts, these exceptional Christmas at the Castle dining experiences are not to be missed.

360° Dome

Surrounded by picturesque views of the Canadian Rockies and the 133-year-old castle, the 360° Dome outdoor private dining venue will be decked out with Christmas décor and will serve a gourmet festive menu from December 17 to 31. Guests will enjoy an extravagant family-style brunch or a decadent six-course menu with a surprise visit from Santa Claus.

Santa’s Dining Room

Santa’s Dining Room will be returning this year with elaborate festive décor and five-course family-style dining. Designed by Cory Christopher, the exclusive private dining experience accommodates 8-12 guests and starts from $2,600 CAD. Santa’s Dining Room will be available for private bookings from December 14 to 31 with public viewing available from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. over these dates.

New Year’s Eve

Celebrate the New Year with an exciting lineup of dining and events:

  • Experience the first New Year’s Eve at the recently renovated Rundle Bar with hand-crafted cocktails and live jazz music
  • Feast on a six-course dinner in the 360° Dome, which includes access to the Rundle Bar’s New Year’s Eve event
  • Indulge at 1888 Chop House with a four or seven-course dinner plus wine pairings
  • Enjoy an extravagant New Year’s Eve buffet in The Vermillion Room
  • Treat yourself to a gourmet table d’hôte menu at Castello Italiana

Santa Suites

Fairmont Banff Springs’ Santa Suites will return to the Castle this holiday season. New in 2019, these four festive guestrooms are specially decorated by Cory Christopher and feature custom Christmas décor exclusive to each room. The Santa Suites are available to book from November 14, 2021 to January 5, 2022 and can be booked through hotel reservations here.

Family Programming

A Christmas Carol, an annual holiday tradition at Fairmont Banff Springs, will be taking place at the castle this year. Tickets are $38 CAD for adults and $26 CAD for children ages 3 to 12. Hotel guests will receive 20 per cent off of tickets. To view show times and to book, click here.

Santa Claus will be hosting family-friendly festive programming such as private Goodnight Visits and photo sessions with the Big Guy himself for the perfect keepsake, while Mrs. Claus will be spreading the holiday cheer with festive workshops at the North Pole throughout the Christmas season, including Holiday Crafts, Gingerbread House Making and Bedtime Stories.

Guests will get into the Christmas spirit with other festive workshops like Ornament Painting and Gift Making to create the perfect gift for a special someone, or kick back to enjoy a private campfire and s’mores with the ones that mean the most.
